Numan's a great live performer. I like his audience a lot less - last time I saw him he did a pretty radical reworking of Are Friends Electric? with just piano and vocals, but the crowd didn't listen, they just bellowed out the synth lines anyway...
ReplyDeleteWe were pretty lucky - we heard him at the Mighty Boosh Festival, which was populated mainly by Boosh fans rather than Numan fans - much much less bellowing and much more chance to hear the man himself! :-)
